Tender, flame-grilled plant-based pieces are gently simmered in a rich, aromatic red curry sauce, inspired by classic Asian cooking traditions and layered with warming spices, coconut richness, and subtle heat.

Slow-cooked to allow the flavours to fully develop, this dish delivers depth, balance, and a satisfying texture in every bite. Designed for versatility, these gourmet tenders are perfect on the braai, served in wraps or tacos, layered onto pizzas, or enjoyed as the hero protein in vibrant bowl-style meals.

Ingredient list

Flame-grilled plant protein (water, wheat gluten [(20%), pea protein (10%), chickpea flour(1%)], water, coconut cream [(24%fat), coconut milk [(17%fat), red curry paste (), crushed chillies, onion, lemon juice, maize starch, natural flavouring, garlic, yeast extract, salt, paprika (fine), origanum (dry), sugar (trickle).

Cooking Instructions – Asian Red Curry Gourmet Tenders

This product is fully cooked. Heat thoroughly before serving.

Stovetop / Saucepan (Recommended)

  1. Remove product from the pouch.

  2. Place contents into a saucepan.

  3. Heat gently over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 6–8 minutes or until piping hot.

For a deeper flavour and caramelised finish:
Continue cooking for a further 2–3 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly and the tenders to develop a lightly charred, golden-brown surface. Stir gently to avoid sticking.

Do not allow to boil vigorously.

Pan-Fry / Skillet (Charred Finish)

  1. Heat a lightly oiled frying pan over medium–high heat.

  2. Add product directly from the pouch.

  3. Spread evenly and cook for 5–7 minutes, turning occasionally, until heated through with visible caramelisation and char on the tenders.

Air Fryer

  1. Preheat air fryer to 180 °C.

  2. Remove product from the pouch and place into the basket or a heat-safe tray.

  3. Heat for 6–8 minutes, shaking or turning halfway through.

  4. For extra colour, increase temperature to 200 °C for the final 1–2 minutes.

Braai / Grill

  1. Preheat braai or grill to medium–high heat.

  2. Place tenders in a grill basket or foil tray.

  3. Grill for 5–8 minutes, turning occasionally, until heated through and lightly charred.

Microwave

  1. Remove product from the pouch.

  2. Place contents into a microwave-safe bowl.

  3. Cover loosely.

  4. Heat on high (800–900 W) for 3–4 minutes, stirring halfway through.

  5. Allow to stand for 1 minute, then stir and check temperature before serving.

Ensure product is heated thoroughly throughout before consumption.

 

Serving Suggestions

This unit weighs 250g. It is intended to serve 3 portions.

Serve hot:

  • On the braai as a plant-based protein option

  • In wraps or tacos

  • As a topping for pizzas or flatbreads

  • As the hero protein in rice bowls, noodle bowls, or salad bowls

Finish with fresh herbs, a squeeze of lemon or lime, or a drizzle of coconut cream if desired.
